Who Can?

Who can see off sorrow at the last station?
Who can live without sorrow?
And love without pain and hope?
Who can deny his first love
After his first defeat?

Who can live outside the yards of freedom?
Who can live among the odour of the cement
walls?

Who can live in front of a skylight
While the executioner puts out his hand time
and again
With the gun silencer
With swearing
With the whip
And other things …
Who can die with a name other than his
And abolish his memory?
I have tried to say farewell to sadness rites
But I have found the joy booby-trapped by
the dust of faith
I said goodbye to freedom
Since I saw it slayed and fluttering
Because of an old superstition
And a sacrifice
Just like an offering..
She is the Water
